I recently bought a chair off of FMP. The chair was built by Man Wah Furniture Manufacturing. Almost immediately, the chair started squeaking. I sprayed all of the hinges with 3-In-1 Silicone spray and the noise went away, but only temporarily. I just tightened up all of the screws (that I'm able to see and access) that secure the base to the chair. Some of them were pretty loose. Regardless, the chair's still squeaking.
Now, I did find that one of the large bolts was loose in the hole (stripped). I'm going to try fixing that somehow, but I don't suspect that it alone is the cause of the squeaking. There are these two plastic bushings that make contact with the rails and I can tell they're worn. I've circled one of them in the attached picture (sorry, I know the quality's not great). I don't know if they're contributing to the problem, but even if they are I'm not sure they're replaceable. Is anyone out there adept at fixing these kinds of issues? Does anyone have any ideas about the source of the squeaking and/or suggestions as to how I can stop it? TIA
