My daughter has a '50s vintage maple dining table set that has an orange tone finish to it. It's like a semi transparent finish intended to reveal the grain but also to provide a uniform appearance over the varied maple grain qualities. I'm hoping to find a finishing product to duplicate it or a method to formulate one myself. The dresser photo is a very good example of the color on maple that I would like to achieve.
