decorating the dining room

Hey everyone!

Just moved into this gorgeous London apartment. it's one of those classic mansion blocks, kinda like a Parisian Haussmann place, and I'm totally stuck on the dining room.

I've got this beautiful dark walnut dining table that really pops against the lighter floors and walls.

Now I need chairs. I'm looking for something modern but elegant, maybe even a bit of a statement piece, just something to make the room feel less empty.

And then there's the whole curtain and rod situation (totally stumped there, too).

Any ideas on what kind of chairs would work, and where to even begin looking for awesome chairs, curtains, or rods here in London or anywhere in England? Big thanks in advance!

For chairs, check out Heal's or Aram... their chairs are just modern enough and not too flashy. As for curtains, maybe go with a textured linen in a warm neutral and a slim black rod to tie it all together.

When you're on the hunt for chairs, check out West Elm, Made.com, or Habitat. They've got some really stylish modern pieces that would look fantastic alongside walnut. And, oh, if you're feeling a bit daring, how about some velvet upholstery or sleek leather? It could really elevate your space!

For curtains and rods, John Lewis has a fantastic selection, but if you want something a bit more unique, The Curtain Exchange can help you with custom options.
