Hi everyone, my husband and I just moved into our new house this weekend, we finally purchased our first house after 5 years of tightening our budget on everything.

We haven't bought any furniture, all we have is just our bed lol. hubby just gives it all to me when it comes to furnishing the house, he doesn't like unnecessary stress about this

I like clean, minimalist style, I think less is more. But I like bold colors like red, so I've been eyeing this gorgeous L shape red couch at the furniture store and probably gonna get it tomorrow for the family room

I'm confused now about the coffee table, what kind of coffee table should I get and what color matches the red couch that is not tacky and still goes with the modern minimalist style I like

Really need your advice on this, TIA

Awww, big congratulations on the new place! For a red L-shape couch, maybe the best option is either a black or matte white coffee table, maybe something with clean lines or a glass top to keep that minimalist vibe. Wood tones can work too if you want a little warmth, but stick to light or medium shades so it doesn't clash.

I think lighter wood would do wonders of putting everything together nicely.

@DoggoDiva congrats on the new place, wishing you all the best moments and to make some great memories. If you're into diy, you can find plenty of online videos about coffee tables.
