Odd wood chair leg tenon repair

I have a wood chair leg with the tenon to the wood seat broken off. The odd aspect (to me anyway) is it isn't a straight tenon continuing from a straight leg, but rather the tenon angles off the end of the straight leg so that the tenon enters the seat perpendicularly while the leg angles rearward. Tough for me to figure how the tenon was milled in the first place. The attached photo shows the remainder of the tenon protruding from the leg. Any advice how to repair it?
