Velvet and pets

Looking for cozy pair of chairs, like a loveseat and chair combo. And this velvet feel is calling me. I don't mind even if it's technically microfiber or poly blend. It's me and my spaniel Max here, and yes, he's got full lounge access!

Anyone here with first-hand experience using velvet or similar in a pet-friendly home? Bonus if you can share cleaning tips as well. Thanks!

Microfiber velvet or poly blends tend to be more durable and easier to clean than real velvet, I have a similar setup and just keep a lint roller handy plus a gentle upholstery cleaner for spot treating. Also, getting a darker color helps hide wear and fur, max has got a good taste, lol

Is it just me, or is velvet totally underrated for pet homes? People act like it's delicate, but mine's held up better than leather with a shedding dog! Anyone else feel the same?
